Senhora da Graça hosts the official presentation of the 2026 Tour of Portugal

There are places that are part of the history of the Tour of Portugal. Places where some of the race’s greatest emotions are experienced, where unforgettable chapters are written, and where thousands of fans gather every year to celebrate cycling.

One of those places is Alto da Senhora da Graça, in Mondim de Basto.

It will be precisely in one of the sport’s most emblematic settings that the Portuguese Cycling Federation and Emesports will officially present the 87th Tour of Portugal by Bicycle, in a ceremony scheduled for July 8, 2026, at 8:30 p.m.

More than just a presentation, the event will mark the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the race, in an edition that aims to strengthen the ambition, prestige and visibility of the country’s leading cycling competition.

The choice of Senhora da Graça is no coincidence. Over the decades, the mythical climb of Mondim de Basto has become one of the symbols of the Tour of Portugal, the stage for some of the most memorable sporting battles in the history of the race and an essential part of the imagination of generations of riders and fans.

It will be in this unique setting that the main details of the 2026 edition will be revealed, including the route, the participating teams, the organisational innovations and the projects that will mark this new stage of the Tour of Portugal.

Because there are mountains that are part of history.
And there are stories that deserve to begin on a mountain.
