EBRO is the Official Vehicle of the 2026 Volta a Portugal.
EBRO Portugal will be the Official Vehicle of the 2026 Volta a Portugal, playing a key role in the logistical operation of the 87th edition of the race, which will take place from August 5 to 16.
The official vehicles were unveiled on Wednesday in Mondim de Basto during the official presentation of the Volta a Portugal, held at Alto da Senhora da Graça, one of the most iconic locations in the history of Portuguese cycling.
With a visual identity designed to create a strong impact on the roads, at the starts, at the finishes and throughout the television broadcast, the EBRO vehicles will accompany the Volta caravan throughout the entire route, playing a role in every stage of the operation, from institutional engagements to race stages, logistics, guests and the support structure.
The partnership marks EBRO’s entry into one of Portugal’s oldest and most popular sporting events. With almost a century of history, the Volta a Portugal is much more than a cycling race: it is an event deeply rooted in the country’s sporting culture, with a strong nationwide presence and broad media exposure.
The 2026 edition also holds special significance as it precedes the historic centenary of the race, which will be celebrated in 2027. At a time of renewal and growth for the Volta, EBRO joins as a strategic partner, strengthening its presence in the Portuguese market just a few months after the brand’s launch in Portugal.
The partnership with the Volta will also allow EBRO’s multi-energy SUV range to be showcased in a demanding real-world environment. Featuring hybrid, plug-in hybrid and petrol models, the EBRO range combines versatility, efficiency, comfort, range and technology, attributes that are particularly relevant in a travelling operation with high public exposure and highly diverse logistical requirements.
EBRO’s presence at the 2026 Volta a Portugal will also include photographic and audiovisual content, visibility across the race’s official channels, local activations and initiatives aimed at the brand’s dealers, customers, partners and guests.
“We are delighted to welcome EBRO as the Official Vehicle of the 2026 Volta a Portugal. This partnership strengthens the operational capacity of the race while aligning the Volta with a growing automotive brand offering a modern, versatile range that is perfectly suited to the demands of an event that travels across the country. The presence of the EBRO vehicles, with such a strong visual identity fully integrated into the spirit of the Volta, will undoubtedly be a highly visible feature of this edition”, said Ezequiel Mosquera, Director of the Volta a Portugal.
“The Volta a Portugal is entering a new phase of growth and consolidation, made possible by the trust of partners who believe in the race’s potential and its ability to reach the entire country. We are delighted to welcome EBRO as the Official Vehicle of the 2026 Volta a Portugal. This partnership strengthens the quality of our operation and links Portugal’s biggest cycling race with a dynamic, innovative brand that has strong ambitions for growth in Portugal”, emphasized Cândido Barbosa, President of the Portuguese Cycling Federation.
“Becoming the Official Vehicle of the 2026 Volta a Portugal is a highly significant opportunity for EBRO Portugal. Just a few months after the brand’s arrival in our country, we are now associated with a legendary race, deeply rooted in Portuguese culture and with a unique ability to reach every part of the country. The Volta embodies the values of endurance, determination, closeness and real-world mobility — values that are central to EBRO and to the way we want to grow in Portugal,” said Francisco Cabral, Marketing and Communications Director at EBRO Portugal.
EBRO entered the Portuguese market with a multi-energy SUV range comprising four models, designed to meet different usage needs.
The range is built on multi-energy platforms developed with the Chery Group and incorporates technologies such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor, large-format displays, a Sony sound system and the EBROAuto app for remote vehicle control. In terms of safety, the models feature body structures reinforced with ultra-high-strength steel, up to nine airbags and a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems.
All models are manufactured at the EBRO Factory in Barcelona’s Free Trade Zone, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to reindustrialisation, job creation, sustainability and the development of a strong manufacturing base in Spain that is competitive across Europe.
